HOME HEATING EQUIPMENT REBATES

Pennsylvania consumers will benefit from several Home Heating Equipment rebate programs that started in the spring of 2010. The information below is provided to help you understand what is available.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funded Home Heating Equipment program will offer rebates for the purchase of non-electric home heating and water heating equipment. This program begins on April 21, 2010 and will continue until funds are depleted. Additional information can be found at http://www.paheatingrebates.com/

In addition, to Recovery Act-funded rebates, Pennsylvania’s electric utility providers will offer consumer rebates for “white goods,” such as washers, dryers and refrigerators, in accordance with Act 129 Energy Efficiency and Conservation requirements. These programs will vary depending on your electric utility provider and are expected to open after March 2010.  Specific information will be available from your electric utility as the programs open.
