Transportation Infrastructure .jpgPennsylvania will receive more than $1 billion to repair its aging roads and bridges.

By recognizing the vital link between a safe, reliable transportation infrastructure and the ability for communities and businesses to continue to grow, the economic recovery plan will allow Pennsylvania to make much-needed fixes to thousands of bridges and thousands more miles of highways while creating and retaining countless jobs.  In addition to highway and bridge funding, Pennsylvania’s transit agencies – in the cities, suburbs and rural areas – will receive direct Recovery Act funding to improve train, bus, subway and trolley systems.
